Appearance: White to slight gray powder.
Assay: 99% minimum
Melting point: Decomposes.
Acidity: 1 ml of 0.1 N NaOH to neutralize.
Identification: Should give characteristic reactions of calcium and hypophosphite>

Lead: 10 ppm maximum.

Water Solubility: Soluble in water. Practically insoluble in alcohol. Slightly soluble in glycerol.
