Carboxymethyl Hydroxypropyl Guar or CMHPG is an anionic high viscosity modified polysaccharide. It is used as a gelling agent in fracturing fluid. Its chemical and temperature stability makes this grade particularly suitable for designing fracturing fluids at high temperature or with saline water. It exhibits good thermal stability and can be crosslinked with a number of transitional metal ions, including borates, Aluminum, Zirconates, Titanates.
Carboxymethyl hydroxypropyl guar Gum (CMHPG) is double chemical modified guar gum by carboxymethyl hydroxypropyl ether which is specially designed for oilfield industry as additives for water and methanol-based fracturing fluids.
