Ethamsylate (also spelled etamsylate) is a hemostatic medication used to prevent and control bleeding from small blood vessels (capillaries). It works by promoting platelet adhesion and increasing capillary resistance, commonly treating heavy menstrual bleeding, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and surgical capillary oozing.
