METHOD OF ANALYSIS:
Weight accurately 0.2 gm sample of Per Acetic Acid in 250 ml iodine flash containing 50 ml distilled water and add 2 gm Sodium Bicarbonate AR and 3 gm of potassium iodide AR and stopper the flash and keep in dark for 15 minutes. Add slowly 10 ml of 5N Sulfuric Acid to acidify and liberated iodine with 0.1 N sodium thiosulphate to the end point and 1 ml starch as indicator. Perform titration till solution become colorless. Note the titration value (BR)
Per Acetic Acid = (BR x normality of Sodium thiosulphate x 15.2)/ (Weight of sample taken)
